Adjust Group Usage

Adjust Tree

The Adjust Tree may be hidden to provide extra screen room, toggle the button at the top of the Adjust Tree.

The Adjust Tree contains three sections with blue headers:
  • Favorites. use the Favorites section to access commonly used parameters. Select F5 to access the Favorites section select again to toggle between all the items in the Favorites section.

    Parameters may be added to the Favorites section. See Adjusting of Adjust groups.

    Note: Not all packages will have items populated in the Favorites section.
  • Workspace. The Workspace section has been configured with Adjust groupings that provide the most effective format for the open Package.

    The Workspace may be customised. See Adjusting of Adjust groups.

    Note: Each workspace can have its own variant of this Adjust Tree.
  • Firmware. The Firmware section contains all the parameters in the Package, grouped by name in alphabetical order.

Navigation

The Adjust View may be navigated via the Adjust Tree using a mouse or via the keyboard, the keyboard option greatly improves speed an accuracy.

When an item in an Adjust Group, parameter or a pane is highlighted Orange it is the currently Focused item.

Note:
  • The Channels displayed in the Adjust Item Telemetry will change depending on the currently focused item or Parameter.
  • The Active Component Tool bar will change depending on the currently focused Component or Parameter.
  • The Active Items and Active Item Editor will change depending on the currently focused item or Parameter.

The image below shows the different types of focused item as an example. Only one type will be seen at any one time.

Using Direction keys, Enter key and Escape key:
  • Direction keys:
    • Within the Adjust Tree. Use ⇩⇧ to navigate Up & Down. Use ⇨ to open Adjust Groups and move through each group. Use ⇦ to move up to the next highest Adjust Group heading, then collapse that group.
    • Within the Configuration pane. Use ⇩⇧ to navigate Up & Down.
    • Within the Editing pane. All the arrows ⇦⇨⇩⇧ may be used to navigate through the table cells.
  • Enter key:
    • Select Enter on a Focused item in the Adjust Tree the focus will move to the right.
  • Escape key:
    • Select Escape on a Focused item in the Configuration or Editing pane the focus will move to the left.

Find

Type a key word into the Find field at the top of the Adjust Tree.

In the example below the keyword temp is entered, Tune has looked within the Adjust groups under the Workspace header and found the first instance of the word.

Tune has also found the word Temperature in all places under the Firmware header.

Adjust Items

The Adjust items pane contains all the parameters, channels and tables relevant to the item selected in the Adjust Tree. All parameters except tables may be edited within the Adjust items pane.
Note: Items with the icon are tables, some tables have no axes configured, they will be seen as single cell table. They must be edited in the Adjust item editor as single number values.

The editor provides the touch enabled controls for adjust group/parameter configuration. See Touch Enabled Controls

Configuration worksheet

Use the Adjust items editor to configure table axes, change cell values and parameter values.

I/O Resources worksheet shows the assigned resources and allows reassignment.

Custom worksheets can be configured, right click in the worksheets banner, select New Worksheet or click the button.

Adjust Item Telemetry

All Channels worksheet the upper section shows live channel data when Online with an ECU the lower section shows a time graph of the selected channel.
  • Use the search function located at the top to find channels containing the key word.
  • Use the Show Hidden Channels toggle to show all channels available in the Firmware or channels relevant to the configuration settings.
  • Double click a channel to bring up the Channel Properties dialog.
Auto worksheet has three sections:
  • The upper section contains channels that stay the same regardless of the selection in the Adjust tree.
    • Right click to bring up the Time Graph Properties dialog, to Add, Delete or Edit the channels.
  • The centre section contains channels that are relevant to the Adjust group selected in the Adjust Tree.
    • Right click to bring up the Time Graph Properties dialog, to Add, Delete or Edit the channels.
  • The lower section contains a Status grid that may be populated with channels that are best represented in the Status grid format.
    • Right click to bring up the Status grid dialog, to Add, Delete or Edit the channels.
  • Custom worksheets can be configured, right click in the worksheets banner, select New Worksheet or click the button.

Common Telemetry

The common telemetry section displays ECU telemetry data that remains the same regardless of other selections made. This section can be configured as required.
