Comparing Packages

The M1 Tune Compare Packages system offers the user many useful functions.

Compare the configurations of a Package with any other Package or multiple Packages.
Compare the configurations of a Package with the last saved state of the Package.
Migrate the configurations from one Package to the other.

Select the Compare Package icons from the toolbar or the File menu.

Compare to last Saved State

To enable the Compare to last saved state option select Tools > Options... > General

When enabled M1 Tune keeps a ‘snapshot’ of the last save state of a Package, regardless of whether editing of a Package is taking place online or offline.

In the example below the Fuel Mixture Aim has been changed, when the Compare is toggled ON (F4) the difference is displayed. Any parameter that is selected will show any changes made.

Add Compare Package

One or more compare packages can be added, select

from the toolbar or File menu.

Note: The user cannot add the same package as the currently open package.

The Select Compare Package window opens, select the required Package.
The Compare package will appear in the KEY above the Adjust item editor.

When multiple packages are loaded select the required package by using the arrow.

Close Compare Package(s)

To close all the compare packages select .

If Compare to last Saved State is enabled, Compare will remain ON.

Swap Main/Compare Packages

To swap the position of the Main Package and the Compare Package, select .

Swapping the Packages give the user a different visual representation of tables and other configurations.

Compare Configuration Differences...

Use the Compare Configuration Differences to view configuration changes in a firmware tree view.

Select Diffs to toggle between the full firmware list or only the different configurations.

Select Reviews to toggle between the full firmware list or only configurations with review status.

Select an item in the Main package pane, select Next to move the selection.

Select an item in the Main package pane, select Previous to move the selection.

Select Tree to toggle between expanded list or Tree view.

Select Unlock to toggle Main and Compare panes scrolling together or separately.

Select Zero to migrate the selected configuration from Compare to Main.

Migrate All Select to Migrate All configuration differences from Compare to Main.

Migrate Selection Select to migrate the selected configuration difference from Compare to Main.

Compare Mode (F4)

To toggle the Compare Mode ON or OFF select .

Compare Configuration and Compare Firmware... May also be accessed from the Tools menu.
