MoTeC System Overview
The MoTeC system is a combination of:
- M1 Tune 1.5
- M1 ECU
- Package
- ECU license

M1 Tune 1.5
- Use M1 Tune to configure tuning data, logging, resource I/O and many other parameters.
- Retrieve logged data from the ECU.
- Open packages, open ECU and load different packages.
- M1 Tune is connected to the ECU via an Ethernet cable for all ECU communication.
M1 ECU
- Packages are written to suite specific models of M1 ECU.
- M1 ECU's are built in 3 main variants:
- Port injected engines. E.g. M150.
- Direct injected engine with Piezo injectors E.g. M141.
- Direct injected engine with solenoid injectors E.g. M142.
- An M1 ECU may be licensed for multiple Packages. Only one Package can be loaded at anytime.
- ECU licenses are based on the ECU serial number.
Package

An M1 Package is the name used to describe the combination of items that are sent to the ECU for a specific application. A Package contains the following information:
- System Firmware.
- Tune Data (configuration settings).
- Security Information.
- packages can be written to suite a specific vehicle (Targeted) or completely configurable (GP).
Licence
